The Otey Show
Every time Giles County clawed back, Otey slammed the door. He scored twice in the opening half and twice more in the second, finishing with 85 punishing yards. His final dagger, a 15-yard burst with 6:44 remaining, put Page firmly in control at 47-28.
Kruse the Commander
While Otey bruised the Bobcats on the ground, Kruse turned the air into his personal playground. He completed 9 of 11 passes for 197 yards, threw three touchdowns, and added 84 yards on the run. His most electric moment came just before halftime—Giles County had pulled within 27-21, but Kruse silenced the home crowd with a 59-yard bomb to Cayden Aukerman, stretching the lead back to double digits just 29 seconds before the break.
Big-Play Patriots
Aukerman was unguardable. He hauled in five catches for 174 yards, including two scores, showcasing a lethal chemistry with Kruse. Peyton Dickerson also joined the party, snagging a 29-yard touchdown in the first quarter as Page bolted to an early 13-0 lead.
Defensive Muscle
The Patriots were without their Player of the Year candidate, Knight Wilson. Obviously, no team is going to live up to the reputation of last year's record setting D. But, don't sleep on this unit. On Friday, the defense bent but refused to break. Porter Whitehead racked up 11 tackles in the middle, while Liam Perry terrorized the backfield with four tackles for loss and a sack. The line of scrimmage was moved by guys like Sloan Bass and Jordan "Big Easy" Curll- who played both ways and truly affected the game. Every time momentum threatened to shift, Page’s defense answered the bell.
